Location: 304/685 Burke Road Camberwell, VIC 3124 Salary: $79,423 - $85,000 Hours: Full Time - 38 hours per week This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute and learn within a supportive and driven team! Key Responsibilities and Duties: - Provide professional accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a portfolio of individual and business clients. - Prepare financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and legislative requirements - Prepare and review income tax returns and related tax compliance requirements for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and other entities - Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and other statutory and taxation-related lodgements - Assist clients with tax planning and provide practical taxation advice based on their individual circumstances and business objectives - Assist clients with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, financial planning and analysis to support business decision-making - Review and maintain clients’ accounting records and general ledgers, including reconciliations and other accounting functions as required - Identify financial, taxation and compliance issues and provide appropriate advice and recommendations to clients - Maintain strong working relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their businesses, financial objectives and ongoing needs - Ensure all client work is completed accurately, efficiently and withing required deadlines - Maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgement when dealing with sensitive client financial and commercial information - Provide general accounting, taxation and business advisory support to clients and other team members as required Essential Criteria: - Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - At least 1 year of previous experience in an accounting or finance related role; - Strong IT skills and proficiency in using accounting software and financial management systems; - Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills If you believe you are the right candidate for this job, please apply accordingly.
