Cook Duties and responsibilities: - Prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards - Support the ordering of food and supplies - Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately - Infusing flavours by adding seasonings - Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner the cooking process - Prepare meals for special events and additions functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers - Artfully plating dishes with appropriate portions, accompanied by sauces, gravies, and garnishes. - Develop menu suggestion - Check on store food and supplies are delivered - Controlling the temperature of ovens, grills, and various cooking equipment Skills and experience: - Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification. - At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role. - knowledge of Italian cuisine. Position: Full Time (at least 38 hours per week) Location: Perth / Applecross / Elizabeth Quay WA 6000 Salary range: $76,000 – 100,000 per year Chef Duties and responsibilities: - Create seasonal menu and other special menus; - Inventorying food, ingredient, and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders; manage the budget; - Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet our high standards; - Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment; - Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure appealing plate presentation; - Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures; - Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner; - Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area - Hire, train and manage kitchen staff; - Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.
