Adelaide Contract Warehousing provides storage, freight distribution and logistics solutions to commercial customers. The successful applicant will lead sales and marketing strategies, develop new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships and support the company's continued growth within the transport and warehousing sector. The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: - Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and expand market share. - Establish and monitor sales targets, performance indicators and business development objectives across the organisation. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the warehousing, freight distribution and logistics sectors. - Direct marketing campaigns promoting the company's warehousing, transport and third-party logistics services to prospective clients. - Manage relationships with existing commercial clients to encourage retention, satisfaction and long-term business partnerships. - Conduct market research to identify customer requirements, industry trends, competitor activities and emerging commercial opportunities. - Lead negotiations with prospective customers regarding service agreements, commercial terms and long-term logistics contracts. - Develop pricing proposals, sales presentations and tailored service solutions for prospective and existing business customers. - Oversee the company's branding, promotional materials and marketing communications to maintain a consistent professional image. - Prepare and manage sales and marketing budgets, allocating resources to maximise commercial returns and operational efficiency. - Analyse sales performance, marketing effectiveness and customer feedback to identify opportunities for continuous business improvement. - Coordinate with warehouse and transport operations teams to align customer commitments with available service capabilities. - Represent the company at industry events, business meetings and networking opportunities to develop strategic commercial relationships. - Direct and coordinate sales and marketing personnel, providing guidance, performance monitoring and professional development support. - Prepare regular management reports covering revenue performance, market development, sales forecasts and strategic growth initiatives. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: - A minimum of five years' relevant experience in sales, marketing or business development, including recent managerial responsibilities. - A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. - Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and managing strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve measurable commercial outcomes. - Proven ability to identify business opportunities, establish sales targets and manage revenue growth within competitive markets. - Experience managing commercial client relationships, negotiating service agreements and maintaining effective communication with key business stakeholders. - Sound understanding of business-to-business sales processes, market research, customer acquisition strategies and effective brand positioning techniques. - Ability to manage sales and marketing budgets, analyse performance data and prepare accurate commercial forecasts and reports. - Excellent leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate teams and develop long-term customer relationships.
