Hays is partnering with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit an experienced Executive Support Officer for a temporary full-time opportunity based in Brisbane.
This role will see you provide high-level executive and administrative support to a senior leader within a large and complex government environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy executive office, managing competing priorities while building strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.


Your new role

Reporting into a senior leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing high-level executive and administrative support
  • Complex diary and inbox management
  • Coordinating correspondence, briefing materials and information requests
  • Preparing meeting agendas, papers, minutes and action items
  • Managing travel arrangements and logistics
  • Assisting with financial and administrative processes
  • Coordinating office operations, resources and stakeholder communications
  • Supporting business improvement initiatives and project-related activities
  • Maintaining confidential records and information management systems


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives within a government or large corporate environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment


What you'll get in return

  • Attractive pay rate of $64.93 per hour + super
  • Full-time position working 40 hours per week
  • Initial contract through to 30 June 2027
