Hays is currently partnering with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit two experienced AO3 Administrative Officers for an initial temporary assignment through to 15 January 2027, with the possibility of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume administrative environment and enjoy working with legislation, written correspondence, data processing and customer enquiries.


Your new role

As an AO3 Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for supporting key administrative and operational functions within a busy client services team. Duties will include:
  • Reviewing and responding to a high volume of client enquiries
  • Processing administrative requests in line with relevant policies and procedures
  • Investigating and assessing information to determine appropriate outcomes
  • Drafting and reviewing written correspondence
  • Conducting repetitive form checking and high-volume data entry
  • Maintaining accurate records and case notes
  • Utilising internal systems to research and investigate enquiries
  • Providing information and support to clients through various communication channels
  • Contributing to team objectives and performance outcomes


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous administration, processing or customer service experience
  • Strong written communication and correspondence skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to analyse information and follow complex procedures
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • A professional and customer-focused approach
